24 hour Police Station Attendance:
Call us out when you have been arrested or or a voluntary interview any time on the emergency mobile 07505 302712. Anyone arrested or being interviewed under Caution by the Police is entitled to have the Defence Solicitor Call Centre notified to contact the Solicitor of their choice. In most cases, their Solicitors advice and attendance at the Police Station will be covered by Legal Aid, except for a small number of limited cases such as non-imprisonable or other minor offences for which they will have to pay privately.
Free Legal Aid:
For offences dealt with by a Magistrates court, you qualify for free legal representation if it is considered to be in the interests of justice AND if you earn under £11,000 each year. If you earn between £11,000 and £21,000 you must satisfy a detailed means test.
Any other investigations such as by government departments or local councils, and Prison Law matters, may qualify for Legal Aid, subject to a sufficient benefit and means test.
Magistrates and Youth Court:
When you are due in Court we speak on your behalf
Crown Court and Court of Appeal:
Legal Aid is automatically granted, without a means test, for Crown Court cases once the interests of justice test is passed. We prepare your case and instruct a Solicitor-Advocate or Barrister to represent you in the higher court.
Driving Offences:
Speeding, no insurance, speed camera, parking ticket, drink driving, dangerous and careless driving offences.
Fixed Penalty Notice Appeals:
Police tickets for offences dealt with out of court
Prison Law and Parole:
Prisoner’s Rights, adjudications and Parole and early release
Military Court Martial:
Armed Forces Police investigations, charging and Court Martial
Government and Local Council cases:
Investigations, interviews under Caution and prosecutions by Department of Work and Pensions and Department of Business Enterprise & Regulatory Reform, other Government Departments and local Councils
Business and Regulatory Defence:
Investigations, interviews under Caution and prosecutions by Her Majesty’s Customs & Revenue, the Department of Business Enterprise and Regulatory Reform and the Department of Work and Pensions, other government departments, trading standards, local authorities and copyright offences.
Private Client Work, (non Legal Aid):
For people who would not qualify for Legal Aid or who are prepared to pay for their own defence.
Local Council Prosecutions & Licensing Cases:
Education Department, Food Safety, Environmental Health, Fly Tipping, Planning Department, Trading Standards & Licensing Prosecutions: Local Council departments investigations, interviews under caution and prosecutions for non-attendance at school, food safety, fly tipping, pollution, breach of planning law and Tree Preservation Orders, and licensing offences relating to the supply of alcohol and private hire vehicle/ Hackney Carriage licensing and under the Disability Discrimination Act 1995.
Health and Safety Agency Prosecutions:
Health & Safety at work and factory/business premises investigations, interviews under Caution and prosecutions.
